• Farmers

American farmers stand ready to meet the needs of the growing population and are dedicated to feeding you and your family. Products we use every day come from plants and animals cared for by America’s farmers.

  • Families

Farming is a tradition that has been passed down for generations. Today’s farmers are committed to preserving and enhancing this tradition for generations to come. Farm Bureau is a strong voice because of families who join this organization and come together as a unified voice for agriculture.

  • Food

Minnesota farmers ensure safe food choices for Minnesota families. As farmers, our job is to provide consumers with the highest quality, healthiest food possible. Growing and raising wholesome, safe food is our goal.

Ag Cab Lab Virtual Tractor and Combine - Back at the State Fair!

The Minnesota Farm Bureau (MFB) Foundation has brought back the chance to virtually cultivate, plant and harvest a field at the Minnesota State Fair with the Ag Cab Lab. The Ag Cab Lab - Combine is located in the Farm Bureau building and the Ag Cab Lab - Tractor is located in the CHS Miracle of Birth Center, giving kids and adults two chances to sit inside a real tractor or combine cab and learn about farming today.

“The Ag Cab Lab is an opportunity to see what farming is like from the seat of a tractor or combine, a way for all of us to understand where our food, fuel and fiber come from, helping to make the connection from the table to the field," said Jeff Beckman, Minnesota Farm Bureau Ag Cab Lab coordinator.

The Ag Cab Lab highlights agriculture at the fair and the new technology involved in precision farming. It gives kids an up-close look at what it is like in today's equipment. Both the CHS Miracle of Birth Center and the Farm Bureau building are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. for kids and adults to visit the Ag Cab Lab during the 12 days of the Minnesota State Fair, August 21-September 1.

"Riding in the Ag Cab Lab is a great way to connect with the farm,” said Katie Seppelt, Minnesota Farm Bureau Public Relations Intern. “It give them a closer look at agriculture as well as teaches fairgoers the importance equipment plays in farming.”

The Minnesota Farm Bureau Foundation Ag Cab Lab is sponsored by the Minnesota Corn Growers Association, Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council (MSR&PC), AgStar Financial Services, Valley City State University, Pioneer, Seneca and Case IH. To find out more about the Ag Cab Lab, contact agcablabmn@gmail.com.
