• Farmers

American farmers stand ready to meet the needs of the growing population and are dedicated to feeding you and your family. Products we use every day come from plants and animals cared for by America’s farmers.

  • Families

Farming is a tradition that has been passed down for generations. Today’s farmers are committed to preserving and enhancing this tradition for generations to come. Farm Bureau is a strong voice because of families who join this organization and come together as a unified voice for agriculture.

  • Food

Minnesota farmers ensure safe food choices for Minnesota families. As farmers, our job is to provide consumers with the highest quality, healthiest food possible. Growing and raising wholesome, safe food is our goal.

Welcome to the Minnesota Farm Bureau

Farm Bureau is an organization guided and directed by our nearly 30,000 member families – teachers, farmers, community leaders, husbands, wives, parents and business owners. Each one is concerned about their children, families, communities and making Minnesota a great place to live and work.

We exist to serve members because we share the values they hold dear – hard work, love of community, passion for the land and belief rooted in faith and family. Our services, programs and benefits are rooted in the cause, concerns and needs that are important to our members based on their beliefs and values.

Giveaways Provide Educational Value to Fairgoers

Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) is giving away three different items at the Minnesota State Fair that offer an educational value. Stop by the State Fair, August 21–September 1, for your chance to win.

There will be four books given away throughout the two weeks. Each day of the fair will end with the drawing for a children’s book. These books offer children the opportunity to learn about farming, where food comes from, how honey is made and more!

MFBF will also be having a drawing for a rain barrel. While entering to win the barrel, learn how farmers have decreased their water usage in the past twenty years.

Finally, fairgoers will have the opportunity to speak with a Minnesota farmer about farming today. MFBF will be giving away thermal snack bags and hotdish recipe cards, featuring a recipe made from Minnesota crops. The virtual Ag Cab Lab – Combine will also be available for all ages to drive.

The MFBF State Fair building is located at 1305 Underwood Street, directly across from the Food Building and behind the giant slide.

Minnesota Farm Bureau representing Farmers • Families • Food is comprised of 78 local Farm Bureaus across Minnesota. Members make their views known to political leaders, state government officials, special interest groups and the general public. Programs for young farmers and ranchers develop leadership skills and improve farm management. Promotion and Education Committee members work with programs such as Ag in the Classroom and safety education for children. Join Farm Bureau today and support our efforts to serve as an advocate for rural Minnesota, www.fbmn.org.
