Nathan Collins of Murdock in Swift County was elected to complete the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) Board of Directors unexpired term of Paul Stark of Stevens County who died in a farm accident in March. County voting delegates for District IV nominated Collins, and on April 28, the MFBF Board of Directors appointed the nomination of Collins to serve as the MFBF Board of Directors District IV representative.
“I am honored to be selected to fulfill the term of Paul Stark. He was a great leader,” said Collins. “My wife and I are very excited about this position. We have had many great opportunities through Farm Bureau including leadership development, educating kids about farm safety, presenting to civic groups on today’s agriculture, meeting many members of the Minnesota Legislature, and so many more. We look forward to serving District IV and working with the Farm Bureau members.”
Nathan and his wife, Jessica, farm in partnership with Nathan’s brother, Sean, growing corn, soybeans, raising Angus cattle and are also partners in a local custom forage harvesting business. Nathan and Jessica have three children.
Collins will complete the final year of a three-year term that Stark had served. The District IV board position will be open for election at the MFBF Annual Meeting in November.
