Farm Bureau State Fair Flower Display is Pollinator Friendly

The Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) has created a flower display that is appealing to pollinators such as bees. This is part of an on-going effort by farmers to provide more plants for pollinators. Pollinators are a crucial part of our ecosystem as they improve the environment and help sustain the food supply.

Planted in the garden are Sunbird Coneflowers, Angelface, Gazania, Dianthus, Petunias and Rose Salvia. Pollinators rely on plants such as these to thrive.

MFBF will also be sharing our agriculture story with fair-goers through a vegetable garden, new signage displayed throughout the booth and being able to talk to a farmer.

The MFBF State Fair building is located at 1305 Underwood Street, directly across from the Food Building and behind the giant slide. The State Fair runs through September 7. Come out and see our pollinator flower display and other traditions at the MFBF State Fair building!
