Donating to the Minnesota Farm Bureau Foundation

County Board Challenge The Minnesota Farm Bureau (MFB) Foundation Board of Directors and the MFB Promotion and Education Committee challenge every county Farm Bureau Board of Director in Minnesota to support the growth of the MFB Foundation through the County Board Challenge Program. The MFB Foundation challenges every county board member to donate $10.00 or more on an individual basis to the MFB Foundation. Those counties that have every board member contribute during the MFB fiscal year to the MFB Foundation will receive recognition at the MFBF Annual Meeting. Estate Gifts

Wills provide many donors an excellent opportunity to support the Minnesota Farm Bureau Foundation in the future. Donors may bequeath a fixed percentage of their estate or a specified amount.

Gifts of Cash, Securities & Property

Donors may chose to give to the Minnesota Farm Bureau Foundation through the donation of cash, securities, real or personal property. Donors may specify which area of the Foundation they wish their gift to be used towards.

Honor Gifts

A donation made in honor of a person, for an event such as a birthday or anniversary, is a generous and thoughtful gesture to recognize their contributions.

Memorial gifts offer a fitting way to remember people who have touched your life and honor their memory.

Live & Silent Auction

Each year the Minnesota Farm Bureau Foundation holds a live and silent auction at the Minnesota Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in November. Items are donated by counties, businesses and individuals. Join us for the annual Minnesota Farm Bureau (MFB) Foundation Auction at the Annual Meeting in November. This fun and entertaining auction raises funds for many worthwhile programs including the Farm Bureau scholarship program, Promotion & Education and Young Farmers & Ranchers activities.

The county Farm Bureaus of Meeker through Yellow Medicine have been asked to donate to this year’s auction. Anyone wishing to receive pre-auction publicity on their items should submit their donation form or contact Kristin Harner at 651-768-2118 or info@fbmn.org by October 15.

Ag Cab Lab-Combine and Tractor

The Case IH Ag Cab Lab - Combine and Tractor places viewers “at the controls” inside the cab. Participants can start the tractor and drive it for two minutes while the tractor works the field pulling a disc. While“driving,” viewers sit in the seat, move the levers and push the pedals. The Ag Cab Labs are outfitted with a 32” flat screen monitor on the inside of the cab and a 19: screen which acts as the rear view mirror to simulate what would be going on behind the tractor. A 32” flat screen monitor outside of the cab displays 90 second videos displaying other uses of a tractor.

The clips include: harvesting soybeans, harvesting silage, corn harvest, wheat harvest, vegetable harvest, combine controls, sugar beet harvest, tractor controls, spring tillage, planting, be a farmer, women in agriculture, fields to food, fields to fuel, farmers going green, corn, soybeans and cutting hay.
