Donate to the Foundation

 

The Minnesota Farm Bureau Foundation is organized under IRS Code 501(c)3. Contributions are deductible as allowed by law. You can make a contribution by sending a check payable to the MFB Foundation to P.O. Box 64370, St. Paul, MN 55164. Donors may specify on the memo line which area of the Foundation they wish their gift to be used towards, otherwise the donation will be used to meet the mission of the Foundation.

Foundation Donation Avenues

In addition to voluntary donations to the Minnesota Farm Bureau Foundation, below are programs for individuals or businesses to donate to the Foundation.

The Giving Tree

In honor of MFBF's Centennial year the Minnesota Farm Bureau Foundation (MFB Foundation) is unveiling the Minnesota Farm Bureau Giving Tree. Located inside the Minnesota Farm Bureau Center's entrance, the Giving Tree will display the donations and gifts that helped to grow the MFB Foundation. Celebrating our past while building our future.

  • Donors select their level of giving.
  • Anyone can donate:
    • County Farm Bureaus 
    • Individuals 
    • Businesses
    • Commodity Groups & Partners
  • Century Club Members are automatically placed on the Giving Tree with Century Cub designation under their name. (To achieve this designation, you must donate a gift of $1,000 during our Centennial year. Donation deadline is November 23, 2019.)
  • Donations can be for memorials, honorariums or just gifts.
  • Leaves will be different colors based on giving, and acorns and stones are available for high level donors.
  • The display is large and will stand about 8 feet Tall and 5 feet wide.

   

Century Club

In celebration of Minnesota Farm Bureau’s 100th Anniversary, join the Minnesota Farm Bureau Foundation Century Club. A fundraising campaign to commemorate the past and celebrate the future of the Minnesota Farm Bureau. The Minnesota Farm Bureau Foundation Century Club recognizes individuals who donate $1,000 to the MFB Foundation above any current giving. Century Club members will receive a Farm Bureau Century Club Pin, be recognized at our 100th Minnesota Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in 2018 and be invited to a Foundation sponsored “Century Club Dinner.”

Montana Silver Hunger Solutions Fundraiser

The Minnesota Farm Bureau Foundation is selling a Minnesota necklace as a fundraiser for Hunger Solutions program. The necklace is a 17 inch (expandable) necklace with a Minnesota pendant with a small heart cut out. This would make a perfect gift for a special occasion.

Gifts of Grain

Farmers have the option to make a gift of agricultural crops to the Minnesota Farm Bureau Foundation. The farmer delivers the crop to the elevator, crop merchandiser or delivers to on-farm storage and uses the form to instruct the elevator to transfer the crop to charity. The charity receives the warehouse receipt and collects proceeds. The farmer can include the production expenses on their tax returns.

County Board Challenge

The Minnesota Farm Bureau (MFB) Foundation is challenging counties to give a gift of $10 per board member. Your county will be recognized as a “County Board Challenge” participant. This fundraising effort is an important effort in raising funds that support our Foundation mission.

Annual Meeting Foundation Auction

The 2019 auction will be on Friday, November 22 and will begin at 7 p.m. or immediately following the Awards Program that evening. This year, we are seeking auction item donations from the counties of Aitkin-Carlton through McLeod. We ask that items have a value of $75 or greater and be delivered to our office by November 14 or to the Foundation booth at the Annual Meeting no later than 3:30 p.m. on Friday, November 16. Attach a label to the item with your county’s name, value of item and a brief item description for identification.
