Opioid Crisis in Rural America Webinar

The nation's two largest farm organizations have teamed up to bring attention to the opioid epidemic in farm country and provide information and resources to help those struggling with opioid abuse at FarmTownStrong.org.

   

During Agricultural Safety Awareness Program (ASAP) week, MFBF hosted a Lunch N Learn to bring attention to the opioid epidemic in rural America. Kirk Hughes with Minnesota Poison Control addressed the scope of the opioid epidemic regionally and nationally. The various abusable forms of opioids such as Vicodin, Heroin and Carfentanil were identified. Use of Naloxone was also discussed.
