2024 Ag Communicator of the Year Announced

Brownfield Ag News broadcaster Mark Dorenkamp has been named the 2024 Minnesota Farm Bureau Ag Communicator of the Year. Dorenkamp was honored during the organization’s 106th Annual Meeting on Nov. 22 in Minnetonka.
Dorenkamp is an award-winning farm broadcaster with over three decades of experience in agricultural journalism. Recognized by the National Association of Farm Broadcasters, Minnesota FFA, and the Iowa Broadcasters Association, Mark has been a trusted voice in agriculture since 2006. His deep-rooted knowledge of farming, shaped by his upbringing in a small Iowa town, informs his insightful reporting on local and national agricultural issues.
Beyond broadcasting, Mark engages with the community by covering state and national agriculture events, volunteering in youth programs, and utilizing social media to advocate for agricultural issues. He has built strong relationships with Farm Bureau members, conducting interviews highlighting their perspectives and experiences. His timely updates on field conditions and agricultural developments provide valuable insights to both the farming community and the public.
Mark serves on the boards of the Minnesota and Iowa FFA Foundations and is actively involved in local chamber agribusiness committees.
