The mission of Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) is to ensure Minnesota’s agricultural vitality. MFBF amplifies its members’ voices through engagement, grassroots advocacy and agriculture awareness.  


Minnesota Farm Bureau ensures the vitality of agriculture in Minnesota by working alongside our grassroots membership to amplify their voices and address the issues most important to them. Farm Bureau provides engagement opportunities for members to grow personally and professionally. We also serve as a trusted leader on agriculture issues working with elected officials and other leaders. In addition, Farm Bureau connects members directly with the public through educational programming and other collaborations.

Our History

The first county Farm Bureau on record in Minnesota was organized in 1913. MFBF was officially founded in 1919 as a general farm organization of affiliated county Farm Bureaus. Within four months of its incorporation, MFBF joined the newly formed American Farm Bureau Federation, broadening its reach and impact on local, state and national levels.
