Patric Pehrson, agricultural education instructor at Nicollet Public Schools, has been named the 2025 Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) FFA Advisor of the Year. Pehrson was recognized during MFBF’s Annual Meeting on November 21, in Minnetonka.
Pehrson has been teaching agricultural education for eight years, including the past three at Nicollet Public Schools and five at Norwood Young America. During that time, he has revitalized the Nicollet FFA Chapter, growing membership from eight to 61 students.
Under Pehrson’s leadership, students have achieved notable success, earning multiple Greenhand, Chapter, and State Degrees, and excelling in Career and Leadership Development Events such as dairy evaluation, livestock evaluation, and agricultural sales competitions. He emphasizes leadership and communication, helping students build confidence through public speaking, decision-making, and teamwork.
Beyond the classroom, Pehrson has developed strong partnerships with local industry and organizations, including Nicollet County Farm Bureau, to provide hands-on learning opportunities in welding, meat processing, and agricultural advocacy. Recognized as the 2022 Outstanding Early Career Teacher by the Minnesota Association of Agricultural Educators, Pehrson continues to inspire students to become skilled, community-minded leaders in agriculture.
