Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) Director of Public Policy Pierce Bennett has resigned his position to take on a new role within Farm Bureau. His last day will be Friday, July 26.
Bennett accepted a position as an Industry Relations Specialist (Livestock) with the Michigan Farm Bureau, which he will start in August.
Speaking on his time in Minnesota, Bennett said, “It has been and honor and a privilege working on behalf of Minnesota farmers and ranchers, and I am grateful for the support and welcoming nature of the Farm Bureau family.”
Bennett joined the MFBF staff in 2022, leading the lobbying efforts on behalf of MFBF’s grassroots membership at the local, state, and federal levels. He also led several policy-focused programs offered through MFBF, including Day on the Hill, Farmers to D.C. trips, the annual Council of County Presidents, and outreach with members statewide.
A search for a new director will begin immediately. Until a director is on staff, all policy-related media inquiries should be directed to Director of Communications Rachel Reisig.
