Congratulations to Cheryl Tyrrell, who was recently elected to the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) National Promotion & Education Committee.

The Promotion & Education Committee (P&E) fills an important role in bridging the gap between farmers and consumers by providing tools and resources to other Farm Bureau members who are eager to help share agriculture's story.

Members of the Committee are nominated by their state Farm Bureau, appointed by the AFBF president and confirmed by the AFBF board of directors for a two-year term. Committee nominees must be actively engaged with a qualified state Farm Bureau P&E program.

Tyrrell resides in Todd County and represents District IV on the state P&E Committee.

Debra Durheim, also of Todd County, recently ended her term on the national Committee.
