It was another year of fun on the course for a good cause as more than 80 golfers took part in the annual Minnesota Foundation for Agriculture Golf Scramble on June 17 at River Oaks Golf Course in Cottage Grove.
With the support from participants and sponsors, the Foundation was able to raise funds for its mission of advancing agricultural education, outreach, research and other programming across Minnesota.
“This event is always a highlight of the year,” said Foundation Director Ruth Meirick. “We are grateful not only for the golfers and sponsors, but also the volunteers who make this day a success, and in turn helps strengthen support for our work.”
With a noon shotgun start, participants took to the course participating in a full tournament with fun challenges and games along the way. Following the round, golfers returned to the clubhouse for dinner, prizes, and raffles with all proceeds benefitting the Foundation.
Congratulations to the winning team from Farm Bureau Financial Services: Ben Bjerk, Hank Caulin, Chris Kolar and Joe Kolar.
