Did you know that Minnesota beef producers contribute over $280 million in exports to the state economy? Meet one of those producers, Haley, from Martin County Farm Bureau, and see her delicious and easy recipe for hamburger hotdish.

1 lb. hamburger

1 can of crushed tomatoes (or a jar of homemade canned)

1-2 cups chicken broth

1 bag of spiral egg noodles

1 bag of mixed vegetables

Seasonings: salt, garlic powder, pepper, onion powder

Using a pot, brown the hamburger on medium heat. Season the meat with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder.

Once the meat is cooked thoroughly, add tomatoes, broth, noodles, and vegetables. Stir until combined. Note: Add more broth if needed so the mixture is not too thick!

Cover the pot with a lid and let cook for about 25 minutes, or until the noodles are cooked.

Top with salt and pepper, serve with peanut butter sandwiches and cottage cheese or a green side salad. Enjoy!
