Kevin Dahlman was named the 2023 Minnesota Farm Bureau Post-Secondary Agriculture Educator of the Year during the organization’s 105th Annual Meeting on Nov. 17 in Bloomington.

Dahlman served as a Farm Business Management Instructor at Ridgewater and Central Lakes Colleges before retiring in October. In his role he worked with around 35 farmers in Wright, Meeker and Stearns Counties, providing educational opportunities to help them be successful in a competitive agricultural environment while also achieving their individual business goals. Kevin is able to develop strong and trusting relationships, delivering a quality experience for everyone involved.

Beyond his work as an instructor, Kevin is very active with the Dassel-Cokato School District and local youth agriculture organizations in Wright County, including 4-H and FFA. He has served on the Minnesota FFA Alumni Council, coached numerous state champion Career Development Events (CDE) and Leadership Development Events (LDE) teams, and is on the National FFA LDE Committees for Parliamentary Procedure and Conduct of Chapter Meetings.

His service to Farm Bureau is also deep, as he has been a member of the Wright County Farm Bureau Board of Directors since 2010 and currently serves as president. He also took part in the Speak for Yourself program, sharing his agriculture story with a variety of audiences.
