The Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MBF) was proud to welcome  21 Sesquicentennial Farm families to its building during the Minnesota State Fair. 

Participating families were celebrated with a special ribbon, treats and photos, before having the opportunity to participate in the Fair's daily afternoon parade.

In 2026, MFBF honored 58 family farms whose legacy spans at least 150 years with the Sesquicentennial Farm award.

 Established in 2008, the Sesquicentennial Farm award celebrates family farms who have sustained continuous ownership for at least 150 years, are 50 acres or larger, and are currently be involved in agricultural production. Since the program began, 681 families have earned this distinction, showcasing how Minnesota’s agricultural strength has endured because of the resilience and commitment of multi-generational, family-owned farms.
