Pederson Hired as Public Policy Specialist

The Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) has hired Hunter Pederson as the public policy specialist. His first day is September 30, 2024.
In this role, Pederson will support the public policy staff in its efforts, including advocacy at the state Capitol, issue research, and outreach to regional and county Farm Bureaus.
“It is an honor and a privilege to join the MFBF team,” said Pederson. “I am excited to use the skills and relationships I have built at the Capitol to advocate on behalf of Minnesota’s farmers and ranchers.”
A graduate of the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, Pederson most recently served as the Committee Administrator for the Minnesota Senate Agriculture, Broadband, and Rural Development Committee. In this role, he played a pivotal part in passing major agricultural budgets and worked closely with Senator Aric Putnam to shape legislative priorities and engage with key stakeholders. Prior to that he worked as a Legislative Assistant for Senator Putnam, as well as Senator Dan Sparks, where he managed constituent communications, advised on political matters, and contributed to policy development.
