Pope County Farm Bureau members sponsored the Pope County Career Day at Minnewaska High School on March 25.

The event focused on introducing middle schoolers in grades 7-9 to different career opportunities. At the event, the kids listened to a series of presentations by different industry professionals to get a glimpse into their careers. There were fourteen different speakers at the event. They also toured three local businesses including Marthaler Chevrolet, Dorrich Dairy and FAST Global Solutions.

Pope County Farm Bureau members assisted in the planning process of the event and served as adult leaders at the event.

7th graders at Minnewaska High School utilized the Farmers Produce More than Produce kit by looking at all the ways agriculture is used in our daily lives.
