Staci Sexton of Zumbro Falls was named the 2022 Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) Young Farmers & Ranchers Achievement Award competition winner, held during the organization’s 104th Annual Meeting Nov. 17-19 in Bloomington.

The Achievement Award highlights efforts in production farming and leadership achievement. Contestants are evaluated on a combination of their farming operation growth and financial progress of operation, Farm Bureau leadership, as well as leadership outside of Farm Bureau.

Sexton advances to represent Minnesota at the national Young Farmers & Ranchers Achievement Award competition, held during the American Farm Bureau Federation Annual Convention Jan. 6-10 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. They also receive a $500 cash award, an opportunity to participate in a MFBF Farmers to D.C. trip, and registration and lodging for the 2023 MFBF LEAP Conference.

Staci is a member of Wabasha County Farm Bureau and is a dedicated volunteer for their events. She raises dairy cattle and over the past few years has worked to grow and diversify her operation.

Other finalists included David and Michaela Ehlers of Grant County and Nathan and Lay Sahr of Faribault County.
