2024 Minnesota Farm Bureau Many Views of Agriculture Social Media Contest Winners Announced
The Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) is excited to announce its winners for the 2024 Many Views of Agriculture social media contest. The photos submitted showcase how agriculture is present in their everyday lives.
In the 11 – 14 age division, the winner is Maisy Geurts, with a sunflower photo with text that reads “Not just pretty, pretty good for you too! Sunflowers are an excellent source of vitamin D.” Second place goes to Brendan Karlson, showcasing a cow/calf pair. The caption read “Cows are extremely protective of their calves and will out themselves between any threat. #Familyfarm”.
In the 15-18 age division, the winner and also the grand prize winner is Noah Collins, whose image shows the early hours of agriculture. His caption read “This picture was taken August 28th, 2023, during the early hours of a silage shift chopping forage for the local Riverview Dairies. I took this picture for the beautiful sunrise and the grain bins falling in place under the spout of the chopper.” Second place goes to Kaiya Daley, whose image shows corn and caption that says “Minnesota grows over 10% of the corn used in the United States! #Springcorn”.

In the 19-21 age division, the winner is Morgan Molitor whose image is herself and her Berkshire pig. Her caption read “Berkshires are naturally curious and suited for outdoor living #berksarebest #attentionhog”. The second-place winner is Sarah Daley, whose image is a wind turbine, and the caption was “Wind energy is the largest source of renewable energy in Minnesota and accounts for approximately 23% of the state's total net energy generation. Wind Turbines can be integrated into farmland to benefit farmers and the environment.
The contest winners will receive a $200 cash prize, a t-shirt, and two admissions to the Minnesota State Fair. The grand prize winner will receive an additional cash prize! The Runners-up in each age group will receive a $100 cash prize and a t-shirt.
