Cindy Durheim of Pine County was appointed to the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) Promotion & Education Committee. Her 2025-2027 term will begin in March at the AFBF Fusion Conference in Denver.

Durheim and her husband farm near Askov, where they have sheep, hogs, goats, chickens and crops. They support youth agriculture programming in a variety of ways, including providing show pigs for 4-H and FFA members.

She is very active in Farm Bureau, including serving on the state P&E Committee, which she chaired in 2023. She is also a member of the Pine County Farm Bureau board, holding the position of P&E chair.

The AFBF P&E Committee works to engage consumers and bridge the gap between field to fork by equipping farmers and ranchers to convey the significance of agriculture to the public.

Also announced to the P&E Committee for the 2025-27 term were: Heidi Cooper (Massachusetts), Nate Schlief (North Dakota), Lynn Leahy (Wisconsin), Amy Mitchell (Idaho), and Lacey Brandon (Utah).
