The Fillmore County Farm Bureau board donated over 250 vests as part of the Tesmer Farm Safety Day Camp on May 19. 

Fourth grade students from across the county attended the event, hosted by the University of Minnesota Agriculture Extension Office for Fillmore and Houston counties. 

The safety vests are part of a campaign offered by the Minnesota Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee to keep kids safe on the farm. Vests can be worn over clothing in any season, and help encourage daily conversations about the importance of safety. Individuals are able to purchase vests for $5.
