As part of the Minnesota Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee's goal to promote farm safety, the committee is selling youth safety vests. These hi-vis safety vests help to promote safe practices on the farm by keeping youth more visible to prevent accidents on the farm. The vests also encourage conversation among youth on the importance of farm safety practice. The vests can be worn over clothing during anytime of the year.

Vests are available for $5 each and are available here.

Farm Bureau promotes safety and health in agriculture and rural communities to reduce the number of farm related accidents by promoting safe practices and increasing public awareness of the importance of safety in agriculture. County Farm Bureaus participate and host activities like farm and home safety forums for youth and adults. Safety is an important topic every day of the year.

In 2021, 110 of our members volunteered to educate Minnesotans about the importance of farm safety. Through those events, over 2,000 youth and 200 adults heard the important message.
