On May 13, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 1346, the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act, which allows for year-round sales of E15 fuel. The legislation passed on a 218-2023 vote, with all eight members of the Minnesota delegation voting in favor.
“The passage of year-round E15 legislation by the House is a win for Minnesota farmers and consumers,” said MFBF President Dan Glessing. “A consistent ethanol policy gives famers the confidence to plan ahead and helps keep our rural economies strong while providing consumers with a reliable, homegrown, lower-cost fuel option.”
“We thank the entire Minnesota delegation on their bipartisan effort to support farmers, strengthen rural communities, and connect Minnesota agriculture to America’s energy future.”
