Communications Specialist
Minnesota Farm Bureau is seeking a creative individual passionate about promoting agriculture to serve as the communications specialist. This full-time position will report to the director of communications and be responsible for assisting in all communications efforts for the organization.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in coordination of all internal and external communications
- Develop and disseminate electronic newsletters to key organizational stakeholders
- Manage and execute the day-to-day social media strategy
- Assist in managing content on the MFBF website
- Assist county Farm Bureaus and other staff with special communication projects
- Develop member stories and other video features
- Assist in content development for the quarterly MFBF magazine, Land & Life
- Coordinate the design, content and production of all marketing materials
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a communications or related field
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Video filming and editing skills preferred
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite preferred
- Experience managing multiple social media platforms
- Some travel, including nights and weekends are required
- Work experience in agriculture or related field preferred but not necessary
